362 Season Two: Chance
Can't have one without the other, right? It's time for Chance!
Chance definitely looks different than his old self, this time sporting a collared shirt and – gasp, is that a TIE?! Yes indeedy-do, 'tis ye olde necktie. He's still wearing shorts though, because honestly, Chance never wears full-length pants unless it's about 2 degrees outside. His hair's shorter, but the goatee remains as full and manly as it ever has been.
With Season Two, I want to put more emphasis on the fact that this is our third year of college (or for Lizzy, her fourth). The gang's growing up a little bit, and that means that we're gonna try to incorporate more things regarding jobs, some tough choices here and there, and just general things that are gonna show that the characters aren't just gonna be a bunch of college bums forever (as interesting as that'd be). Our cast isn't static by any means, something I've tried to express by giving the characters haircuts, costume changes, and even showing some gradual regrowth of cosmetic changes such as beards or what have you. Just as the comic itself is evolving, so should the cast.
At least, in my opinion.
While I don't think he's still totally sure about being a teacher, I think that having Chance the character be a 4th grade substitute English teacher would be a fun thing to have Chance do and could possibly open up some interesting story arcs, like him having to be the adult on field trips, teaching lessons on being thoroughly awesome, and maybe relating more to the kids than the fully-educated-and-licensed teachers can. We haven't got to see a whole lot of Chance's wild side, so maybe him having to be in charge of a group of ruffians'll open him up a little.
Joe out.
hot for teacher
