Guest Strip for Real Life Comics

Real Life was one of my big inspirations when it came to my finally deciding to create 362, and when Mr. Greg Dean requested his fans for guest strips, I leapt upon the task with reckless abandon and no small amount of anxiety. (Literally, I probably had to take three or four doses of my medication to even send it to the man.) Honestly, I felt like a kid realizing the guy sitting next to him on the plane is a celebrity, except without the unnecessary desire to pee my pants.

It was a completely necessary desire.

I've realized just how important it is to the humor of the strip that I get talk to Lizzy, Chance, and Bobby as often as possible – I almost forgot just how many jokes or ideas I've had for the strip actually came about from stupid things that were said or considered by one, two, three, or even the four of us and my focus on that lately is the reason (I think) why the response by readers I know personally has been an overwhelming "They're better than ever." With the 100th strip coming up soon (this one doesn't count), it's good to know that I've made such incredible progress in the readers' minds. I'm excited, I really am.

Joe out.
