PSA #3: Summer Survival Guide
I don't know why it's so much fun to draw Bobby on fire, but I certainly don't question it.
I'll admit, when summer rolls around, I can be something of an asshole. I never get sunburned and I get an incredible tan. However, I'll admit – the damn heat is what can and will destroy me every time. It's a little-known fact that I had a bad case of heat exhaustion when I was in the Philippines last, and ever since then, I really haven't been able to handle it very well, hence my tendency to stick to places where it's nice and cool. It's my belief that cold is preferable to heat, mostly because I can at least dress for the cold; when it gets hot though, once I'm nude, there's not a whole lot else I can do to stay cool. That, and the local ice cream parlors tend to frown upon people running around their shops totally naked while munching strawberry sundaes.
I would object to this, but some of the people who linger around those places...*shiver* Guhhhhhh.
Anyhoo, I'm starting to get a little worried about getting commentary for the book. I've pestered Bobby so many times he's liable to catch fire for real (which someone should photograph, should it occur), Lizzy is consistently busy, and Chance is without internet at his parents' house for reasons unknown. While I normally wouldn't care, that was what I felt would be one of the real highlights of the book was getting commentary from the whole crew. I never really thought about a backup plan, but it looks like I may have to start. It's a damn shame, really. :(
As far as the strip itself goes, it's still chugging along mostly on schedule. I took Friday off for a mental health day, and I think it was the right thing to do. I don't intend to take too many more of those, but if I do, just keep in mind that it's for a good reason instead of just deciding to be lazy and miss an update. :)
Joe out.
