A lot of things are about to be explained here, kiddies. Who is the Man in Black? Why does he love wearing black so much? Is he actually a man? Is he Joe or is he some sort of hideously attractive doppleganger? Guarantee you that in the next strip or two (I can't decide which would be better for pacing) these questions will be answered. However, true to form, I'll be sure to only raise several more. Yep, love you too.

If you can't tell, I've been trying to fine-tune the way I do things when I make the strip. Some things are working out well, others...not so much. Namely, the brush shading that I've been doing looks good, but it's hard to really get down pat. I can't quite find the "sweet spot" to match with the cel-shading shadows that have worked so well for us in the past, so hopefully y'all can bear with me while I iron out that little nitpick. Everything else has mostly just been trying to mess with the palette I use to color everybody while changing up everyone's outfits for the coming spring (seasons are so messed up here in Missouri that it's disgusting). Hopefully you guys noticed -- and liked -- Lizzy's new look in the last strip. Anyone? Anyone?
