Good Intentions
After a lot of experimentation, I think I've finally perfected the improvements and experimentations I've been playing with. A little photomanipulation, a lot more focus on the coloring, and yet SOMEHOW I managed to get this strip out in less time than they normally take. Justin and Chance's first reactions were "Holy shit." I take that as a very hefty compliment.
I managed to slip away from the rest of my duties and spend some time over at Chance's last night and got the opportunity to gaze into the vast beauty of the new XBox 360 (no joke, I accidentally typed that as 362 before I fixed it) Elite and nearly shat myself. Naturally, we did what we do best, which was sit on a couch while he played World of Warcraft and I drew the strip with quality comedy on in the background. In this case, it was arguably my favorite season of The Office (but then again, any season is arguably my favorite -- that Pam is a fox). It made us both very homesick for Columbia, something even I didn't even realize until I caught myself using pictures of Columbia for the backgrounds. Makes sense, of course, seeing as the strip is set there.
All said and done, we're still on the hunt for a house for us as well as a small business license for 362 Studios. I'm going to have to fill out a lot of paperwork to get ready for San Diego, but seeing as I'll have nothing better to do while stuck in bed (surgery is today at 8am! Yay!) I ought to be coherent enough to at least do THAT. Also, I'm working on an assortment of new prints to give out at conventions, which I don't think 362 will be able to attend until at least spring break. My grades took a turn for the nasty last semester, and I'm really going to have to bust it to make sure that I don't mess up.
Also, did you know that the nearest place to Columbia, MO I can find that sells corgi puppies is in Pennsylvania? If any of you guys have a lead, lemme know please!
Joe out.
it looks like the end of the world as we know
