About 362 - FAQ
-F.A.Q.-
•So how do you pronounce the name of this crazy strip?
A:It's pronounced "three sixty-two", just as Jebas intended.
•Who the heck are you?
A: I'm Joe Myers, the artist and author of the 362. Pleased to meet you.
•Who's the other guy with the hoodie?
A: That'd be Chance. He's our head review guy and gamer guru. At the time of writing this, there hasn't been anything uploaded yet, but soon...very soon...
•How often do you draw 362?
A: 362 is currently on a temporary twice-weekly schedule while I try to make it through this semester. Thanks to our fantastic webmaster, the strips are updated at exactly midnight on those days according to U.S. Central Time (since that's where we are). Didn't you read the About section up there?
•Where did you come up with the name "362"?
A: When I first ran into Chance at college, I had no idea where he lived and I wasn't very happy at all spending time in my room (mostly because it was the "crappy" building) and he told me that he lived across the street in room 362. It had a great ring to it and for lack of a better title, I started drawing little strips and titling them 362. The name stuck.
•Where do you guys live? I think I have an idea, but I'm not sure exactly which dorm...
A: We have agreed that we will not disclose the location of room 362 until such time that we have moved out of it (which will be at the end of this current school year as of the time of this writing). However, much to our dismay, we think we've given enough hints as to where we really live. Please note that if strange people start to come to our dorm asking if this is where the strip is made, we will deny it to the very ends of the earth and maybe attack you with a stick.
•Are your characters real people?
A: Yes! All of the main and secondary characters are real people who actually are up and moving around somewhere in this crazy mixed-up universe of ours.
•How about the events of the strip? Are those real too?
A: That's two questions there, buddy, but I'll answer anyway. I'm going to go with "maybe". In some cases, yes, the events of the strip are based off of things that happen in real life. Other times, they are completely made up.
•How long does it take to make the strip?
A: It takes, on average, about 4 hours. Do I ever sit down and do a full comic in one sitting?...well, sometimes. My neck and back don't like it though.
•Are you going to have a store soon?
A: Define "soon". We plan to at some point, but we don't really have any merchandise designed yet. We're working on it.
•Who all makes up the 362 team?
A: The primary 362 team is me, Chance, Bobby, and Justin. Like, we do most of the comic-creating process, website updating, and tomfoolery. However, the full team includes the aforementioned people, Ceili, Carwin, Erin, Lizzy, and Lauren. Essentially, if they're mentioned in the comic or are a mod on the forum, they're part of the crew.
•Will you link my site to your site? Do you do link exchanges?
A: On the off-chance that I like your stuff (:P) then yes, I will probably link you. It's more along the lines of "Will my readers like to go look at this?" If the answer is yes, the probability of me linking you goes up. Just never, ever, EVER ask me to link you. If you do, I'll sic the Corgis on you...and they're hungry.
•Do you make money off the site?
A: Not yet. Hopefully I will at some point.
•Do you really have that scarf and beanie?
A: Yes. Go look on the forums in the Introduce Yourselves topic.
•Why does the comic celebrate Chrismukkah?
A: At first, it was to make sure that our very religiously diverse crew could all enjoy themselves without being left out. For example, we do have a few atheists, a Catholic or two, perhaps a Baptist, and a former Jew, but in the end, we all decided that besides just being for us, it was something that all of our readers, no matter who they are, could enjoy. We really love our readers and want to make sure that everyone can enjoy the festivities. Also, it's a lot of fun to say out loud. Try it.
•What is it with you and Corgis?
A: The Corgis are essentially the mascots of 362, mostly because if I were to make a specific character, even Joe, the mascot, there's the chance that someone would bitch about it. In other words, hooray Lamarr. Also, they're my favorite type of dog...and I love dogs.
•Is Lamarr real?
A: Yes, but I haven't found her yet.
